Welcome!

The purposes of an Optimist Club is to develop Optimism as a philosophy of life while utilizing the tenets of the Optimist Creed; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth in belief that they giving of oneself in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community life and the world.

With a positive approach, an upbeat outlook and a commitment to creating a more Optimistic future for kids, the Optimist Club of Annapolis was chartered in May of 1968. For nearly 40 years, in addition to sponsoring numerous youth related programs, the club also sponsors need based programs in the adult community.

Believing we can truly make a difference in the lives of others, we continually strive to uphold the International motto of Bringing Out the Best in Kids.

The circus is coming, the circus is coming on May 7th and 8th . The Cole Bros. circus will once again appear at the AA County Fairgrounds with performances daily at 4:30 and 7:30 pm. Since this is a major fundraiser, volunteers are needed to direct traffic. Call Bonnie Hitzelberger at 410-268-1783 if you can help.
